it’s recession. not finding job to trying to sell my jewelry to bring food on the table.

The gold and jewelry district in New York is based on West 47 Street, between 6th and 5th Avenue. Lots of small jewelry stores. You can’t walk down the street without being approached by a hawker (some may be con men), asking “Have any jewelry to sell?”

Here’s an article about the area. I can’t say whether they provide cialis 5mg price the best prices or whether all of them are honest, but at least there are a large concentration of potential buyers there.

    If its high end stuff then your best bet is shopping it around to jewelry stores.

    If its scrap gold and stuff you do no wear anymore, you can sell it to a refiner: http://www.cashforgoldusa.com/

    Definitely consider going to the West 47th Street in Manhattan. The station would be Rockefeller Center. I’m sure you will be able to sell it there. Maybe try online at a place like cashforgoldusa or cash4gold.

    Good Luck!

    I would bring it to West 47th Street – between 5th & 6th Aves. This is the "Diamond District" and there are plenty of shops there that buy jewelry.

    Take it to a few places for price estimates before you sell to make sure you are getting a good price.

    If it is just plain gold (no stones in it…) they will probably buy it by weight, so if you can, weigh it yourself before you go.

    Here is some good advice on selling your gold:

    I’m sorry, I cannot answer your question. But I would like to tell you about my experience ;

    Gold was just over $1,000 an ounce and I have an 18k foxtail (pattern) gold necklace. I paid $530.00 for it in 1985 and it is 11 pennyweight. At the time I purchased it I received an Appraisal for $900. It was purchased at one of Maryland’s most respected jewelers and it’s a nice looking piece.

    I took it to a gold dealer and asked what I could get for it. Now I knew that jewelry fetches less than solid gold coins. I wasn’t trying to make a killing. I was hoping to get enough to buy a Nintendo Wii. ($250.00).

    Well, I was in for quite a surprise when the dealer offered me $160. Needless to say, I kept the necklace. I would rather give it to a homeless person than to sell it for $160.00!

    My advice would be to go to at least three reputable dealers before making a final decision. Also, I totally understand your motives for wanting to sell. Groceries are becoming about just as expensive as gold!

    Good luck to you!
