I have some very nice diamond Jewelry from a top notch jeweler as well as a Cartier pink gold band from the "love" line. I have never sold jewelry before and im wondering which is the best route to take so I dont take much of a loss on everything. Has anyone had experience in this and have any advice for me??

I have some native american jewelry that was given to me many years ago and I am looking to sell it. I have located the exact set online retailed for $3999.00, I am not expecting to get that much for it but I would like to try and sell it. Does anyone have an idea where I can sell it? The exact set is called Zuni Indian Turquoise Sterling Silver Peyote Bird Squash Blossom Set with Necklace,Earrings,Bracelet, and Ring.

find out the head buyer and send him/her samples- free obviously. and put to gether some info bout the brand so she can read through it. be persistant even if they dont reply right away continue to send free stuff you never know when they might need a new jewlery line and you will be fresh on their mind!

I was left a large amount of jewelry and loose stones that was originally supposed to be the inventory for a new jewelry store. I’m overwhelmed by the amount and value of these items. Please don’t say to go to eBay; it makes my head spin! The eBay ‘sellers’ take 30% or more and don’t like to sell jewelry anyway. I’m responsible for handling this wisely but I don’t feel very wise. There are diamond rings, bracelets, earrings, watches, etc. plus more gemstones than I can name in addition to the more common ones, like ruby, sapphire, emerald, etc. I know a lot of items are rare. I thought I should look for someone who wants to open a store but I don’t know where to look or who to trust. Does anyone have experience in this area? Your advice will be welcome and very much appreciated. This has been stressing me so much for almost six months and now "the natives are getting restless." Please help! Thank You in advance…

You might try finding someone looking to open a store as you suggest doing. They are not likely to pay what you think the value is as they will have to make a profit when they sell. If the items sell for what they are worth and were purchased at reasonable wholesale price, even giving 30% to an eBay seller should give you some profit. There are always pawn shops but they too are looking to make a profit and are usually shopped at by individuals looking for a good deal so again, you are not going to come out ahead of an eBay seller. You can always learn how to sell on eBay and market the items yourself. Hopefully you have the appropriate credentials to accuratly appraise the items or they have come with appraisals done by a qualified agency.

help! some things aren’t clear to me, i know that you can sell your precious silver and gold coins on ebay or other retailer(coin shops)
BUT what i dont know is that do you need special certifications or anything else to open your own coin shop to sell and buy jewelry, silver or gold
